Rarely do we see some really mind blowing games that you can pour hours and hours into for free as part of Epic Store’s free weekly game campaign. However, next week (9 July 2020) is going to see a big title hit the store, priced at zero: Killing Floor 2.

The game will be free as part of Epic Store’s weekly free game with The Escapists 2 and Lifeless Planet.

The Epic Store free game for this week (2 July 2020) is Hue.

The zombie, mutant, etc shooter is akin to Left 4 Dead, but has a more arcady finish to it with some pretty cool mechanics that get you hooked right from the start.

It has a great fan following on Steam, where it has been for almost four years. The game has “Very Positive” rating on Steam based on more than 61,000 reviews.

The best part about about the game going free for Steam players is that they will see the zombie action thriller getting revived for them. So if you are one of those Steam players, expect to see a lot of traffic, albeit more toxic people (you always get to see such people when a game goes free).

However, it is still unknown if Steam players will be able to play with the Epic users, fingers crossed.

The game has some of the best gunplay among first person shooters, with precise head shots that really sound punchy, or cranium shattering, which ever one sounds better to you.

I would highly suggest you bring your friends along too, on the ride, as the game is more fun with them. What’s better than seeing who shattered more skulls among your friends eh? Additionally, it doesn’t hurt to leave your friends behind when a horde of zombies approach them, leaving them fending for themselves and eventually being cornered and thrown into tiny bloody pieces.

The game’s dev’s are pretty dedicated to the game. You will notice new events and add ons being given out for free. The DLC are more like events from Overwatch, where they run for a few weeks and the game turns back to normal after the duration.

If you think Killing Floor 2 may really hit the spot for you, I would also suggest you could buy the game on Steam, which has a Steam Summer sale undergoing. As part of the sale, the game is being sold at a whopping 67% discounts, which to be honest is pretty cheap too.

The game involves a party of four players, all customizable in the looks department at the beginning of the match. You are also given an option to choose a class or perks as they are called in the game. This is the part that sets the game apart from others in the league. You can choose a regular class like the Commando, or go total batshit crazy with the Demolitionist. For example, I prefer the Gunslinger and the Sharpshooter classes as they include some old school revolvers and rifles that are just so satisfying, but punish you if you miss a shot.

Once the match begins, you have to face hordes of increasingly difficult enemies, which are divided into rounds. Between rounds you have the option to buy guns. You can choose guns from any perk at this stage and you are not tied to you own perk.

Every match ends with a pretty hard boss fight, which makes the game even more worthwhile.

Hope you remember to grab the free game which is available next week on Thursday. The game will remain free for an entire week, for those who haven’t nabbed a free game off Epic Store.
