Steam’s summer sale finally began this week with much fanfare. Hope you have been saving money for the event! There are many hot deals all around in the store, with some new comers also getting neat discounts. That is all fine and good, what’s best is that you can get the much awaited Cyberpunk 2077 at a discount too this Steam summer sale.

Yes, you heard that right. As part of the Steam sale, you can get a $5 discount for every purchase of $30 or greater. The total cart value should be over $30 and you don’t need to buy a single item of the value to get the discount.

So, since the game surely costs more than that, you can get that neat discount of $5 on the game when you pre order it during the Steam summer sale. This is the first time you will be able to get a discount on this title.

The Steam summer sale runs till 9 July, so make sure you don’t miss this deal. Its going to be hard to get any kind of discount on the title any time before the launch, so grab it while you can!

While purchasing the game through GOG.com is a great way to support the devs who have tirelessly worked on the game, the Steam option is truly very tempting, and may be hard to resist as the game’s launch inches closer.

The game was supposed to launch this September, but was delayed to November later this year. This was the second delay for the much awaited game.

The game itself is based in a dystopian future where androids and cybernetic implants or augmentations are part of life, and where the constant rain and neon lights are all what any one sees which ever direction they look. The game will be playable in the first or third person perspective, whichever you choose.

It is expected to have an open world, that can be traversed in cars and bikes, or obviously on foot.

Cyberpunk 2077 is being developed by CD Project Red, the people who also brought is the now extremely famous Witcher series.

While the medieval fantasy of the Witcher is no comparison to the sci-fi world of Cyberpunk, what’s common between the two games is the genre: RPG, or role playing games. CDPR have become maestros of the genre, and have shown us time and time again of their love for compelling stories and deep character development.

Going by this, it would be no surprise that Cyberpunk turns out a pure gem of a game. We all say the Night City Wire event of the developers, there was some game play shown and it did look extremely brilliant.

So hope, after reading this, you would find yourself heading to the Steam store to grab your discounted copy of the dystopian wonderland. The game launches on 19 November 2020.
